About the Journal

Focus and Scope

This journal, Journal of English Language Teaching Innovations and Materials (Jeltim), is a collaborative initiative between UPT Bahasa Universitas Tanjungpura and the English Language Teaching Materials (ELTeaM) association. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. We follow the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI): The original Declaration and guidelines to make research free and available to anyone with internet access and promote advances in the sciences, medicine, and health.

Vision.  By the end of 2025, Jeltim will become one of the world's leading academic journals that focuses on English language teaching research.

Mission. Jeltim is dedicated to advancing research in English language teaching, specifically within the domains of teaching/learning innovations and materials. It seeks to deliver high-quality, evidence-based papers catering to academics, researchers, teachers, and policymakers.

Peer Review Process

Double Anonymous Review

The editorial process begins with a designated editor, chosen by the editor-in-chief, conducting the initial review and processing of the manuscript. This sets the stage for a confidential review, ensuring the anonymity of authors throughout the evaluation, as two or three reviewers provide valuable feedback on the anonymized manuscript. Authors remain unaware of the identities or IDs of these reviewers. Ultimately, conclusive decisions about the manuscript are made collaboratively by the editor-in-chief and the assigned editor, guided by the assessments and recommendations provided by the reviewers.

Plagiarism Screening

Our practice of peer review is to ensure that only genuine (plagiarism-free) and good article is published. It is an objective process at the heart of good scholarly publishing and is carried out by all reputable scientific journals.

Jeltim operates under the guidance of the editorial board, providing expert advice on content, attracting new authors and encouraging submissions.

Experts

Jeltim editorial board is a team of experts in the English language teaching innovation and materials. The editorial board members: (1) review submitted manuscripts; (2) advise on journal policy and scope; (3) identify topics for special issues, which they may guest edit; and (4) attract new authors and submissions.

Jeltim editorial board members are selected by the journal"™s editor(s), with input from the publisher. Editorial boards generally undergo a complete revision every two or three years, with members joining, stepping down or continuing for another term. Changes also occur in the interim, for example, if a member resigns.

A journal"™s editorial board can affect its quality, so editors should consider the following:

The journal board members' expertise should represent the journal's scope. Representatives should be appointed from key research institutes. Former Guest Editors of special issues, and authors of key reviews and top reviewers may be suitable. Existing board members may have suggestions for new members

If you"™re interested in joining a journal"™s editorial board, use the  Journal  Finder  to locate the journal, and contact the editor via the Editorial Board listings.

Publication Frequency

Jeltim is scheduled to appear twice a year, in Aprils and Octobers: one volume and two issues.

Open Access Policy

Jeltim follows the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to the public immediately upon publication. This policy supports the dissemination of knowledge by allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and use the full texts of articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers, provided proper attribution is given to the authors and the journal.
