Focus and Scope

Akuatik Tropis: Journal of Tropical Aquatic Resource Management  is an open-access academic journal, this journal is publishing high-quality articles in aquatic sciences and fisheries in general. The aim of the journal is to publish and disseminate the current or new findings of the research, and  give a significant contribution to the development of fisheries and aquatic sciences in several topics,  but not limited to:

  1. Fisheries (Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries, Social Economy Fisheries)
  2. Ecology (Freshwater, Marine, and Brackishwater)
  3. Biology (Fish, Mollusk, Crustacean, Plankton, Mammals, Coral reefs)
  4. Oceanography

 

Peer Review Process

Akuatik Tropis: Journal of Tropical Aquatic Resource Management  is adopted the double-blind review process, where every submitted manuscript will be internally reviewed by the  editor prior to sending to independent (external) reviewers. The authors are welcome to suggest at least three potential reviewers along with the  name, affiliation, expert field and email address. However, the decision to determine the appropriate reviewers is right of the  editor.  The approved gallery proof of manuscript will early view online as early as possible upon received from author and final proofreading by editor in chief.

 

Publication Frequency

Akuatik Tropis is published periodically twice a year in March and September

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

Akuatik Tropis: Journal of Tropical Aquatic Resource Management has been published by Department of Aquatic Resource Management, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Tanjungpura. Open journal system (OJS) has been activated since July 2022 at  http://jurnal.untan.ac.id/index.php/AkuatikTropis. Therefore, the authors are required to register in advance and upload the manuscript by online. The process of the manuscript could be monitored through OJS. Authors, readers, editorial board, section editors, and reviewers could obtain the real-time status of the manuscript. The hard copy of the journal could be purchased by the system.

 

The Editorial Board has effort by systematic and continuous process in order to improve Akuatik Tropis as an international reputable journal. Achievements that have been successfully obtained were informed in the  Announcements  and  Indexing.
