Author Guidelines

Bedande"™: Journal of Language & Literature Article Template [Indonesian]

Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or English with the following systematic writing:

1. Article Title

Writing the title is a maximum of 14 words, using Garamond, Font 18, Bold, Justify, and using Capitalize Each Word.

2. Name of the Author

The author's full name, not abbreviated, and without title. The author's name is written without title and position. Below the name is written the full name of the author's institution, as well as the author's email address for correspondence.

3. Abstract

Abstract is a brief description of the entire article or scientific paper, which contains four components, namely: (1) Problems and objectives; (2) Methods used; (3) Results; (4) Discussion; and (5) Conclusion. Abstracts are written in one paragraph without footnotes or literature citations, single-spaced, and contain a maximum of 250 words in Indonesian, accompanied by keywords.

4. Key Words

Write 3 - 5 unique words or phrases that are relevant and representative of this article.

5. Introduction

The introduction describes the background of the problem being solved, issues related to the problem being solved, contains the State of the Art (review of literature reviews or previous studies briefly, 1-2 paragraphs) with the aim of justifying / strengthening the statement of novelty or significance or scientific contribution or originality of this article and try to have references to articles from journals in the last 10 years. Do not write the title of the article in writing the purpose of the article. There is no need to use sub-subtitles in the introduction. The maximum text length in the introduction is 2 pages, 1 space, Garamond 12.

6. Methods

Includes the type and approach of research, place and time, research subjects, procedures for data/information collection techniques, and data analysis techniques. Total pages 1-1.5 pages, space 1, Garamond 12 font.

7. Results

Includes presenting the data/information obtained and analysing the data/information in accordance with the purpose of writing the article. If the article conducts an experiment, then the results of the experiment should be displayed in the form of a graph or table. The caption of the figure, graph or chart (caption) uses Garamond typeface, Bold, with font size 11 and is written centre below the figure, while the table caption is written centre above the table. Each figure or table must be given an identity number of its title or caption, for example: "Table 1. Frequency Distribution...". All text in the figure/table must be legible and not blurred. Each figure/table must be referred to in the text, the way of referring should not use location (e.g. below, above, following, etc.). Refer to the table/figure in the text first, then place the table or figure. In the table, there should be no need for horizontal lines in the table contents, only the heading and the bottom line. Each Figure or Table must be numbered sequentially without including the chapter number (Table 1, not Table 4.1).

Each equation must be given an equation number. Writing symbol descriptions in equations is made in descriptive paragraphs, not list items like in book writing. For example: "P represents pressure (atm), m represents mass (g), ....."

8. Discussion

In the description of the Discussion, you can use sub-subtitles according to the problems discussed. Sub-headings are written in bold. The discussion contains a summary of the research results, discursive research findings with current theories and literature. The discussion should also include reflections and implications as well as follow-up research.

9. Conclusion

The conclusion should clearly indicate the results obtained, advantages and disadvantages. The conclusion is a synthesis of the suitability of the problem, objectives, and results. The conclusion is sufficient to answer and is in accordance with the problem or research objectives. Implications or suggestions may be added (not required). It should be written in paragraph form, not in item list/numbering form.

10. References

The bibliography is written based on the APA 7th (American Psychological Association) model. It is highly recommended to use a reference manager (Mendeley or Zotero). Referenced sources and at least 80% of the literature published in the last 5 years.
